The shopping venue is due to close down following the news it will be replaced by a new M&S flagship store in 2025.
Shoppers have been gutted at the news.
Renate said: “I first found out, it was probably less than two weeks ago, it came out of the blue. Utter Shock, that’s all I can say. This is my favourite store.
“But I believe it was in the pipeline. I kept saying to my husband, ‘it’s just a matter of time and then this one will close as well.’
“Stuff like Marks & Spencer’s in Broadmead and Debenhams, they’re all gone. So times are changing, and of course, we just have to change as well.”
Similarly, Iryna commented: “I think it's going to be quite sad to lose such a big shop because we are not very spoilt for choices here.
“So sometimes if you come from far, which I'm coming from like an hour away from here, for me it was quite comfortable and convenient to have many, many shops in one place. So we'll see if there's going to be anything better there. “
