Bristol's Trinity Gardens transforms into a medieval playground for a special event this month. Here's when you can visit.

Trinity Gardens at Trinity Centre in Trinity Road BS2 0NW will be transformed into a medieval playground on May 31 from 12.30pm to 5pm as part of Destination Old Market: A Medieval Fayre.

Guests will be able to challenge friends to a spirited game of blind man’s buff, test their strength in a tag of war, or laugh at the antics of comics as part of the experience.

The period-inspired will also offer delicious meals for sale, ranging from spit-roasted pig to delicate mushroom tarts.

Characters from the height of the renaissance will appear before guests’ eyes as part of the extraordinary walking tour.

As part of the experience, visitors can rub shoulders with bewildered characters as they navigate their once-familiar streets now transformed by time, and listen to their tales of bustling market days where fortunes were made and lost through clever bartering and sharp wit.
