Bristol's Old City is gearing up for another "unforgettable day of music, entertainment and family fun" as Old City Sounds returns for the bank holiday weekend on Saturday, August 24.

Following the success of last year's inaugural event, the free-to-attend celebration of the city's songful soul will feature performances at iconic venues across the city centre.

Meanwhile, Bristol Old Vic will be hosting three ‘secret but very special’ gigs at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm.

St Stephen's Church will offer an array of workshops, crafts and performances for families, while 6 O'clock Gin at the Glassboat will host DJs curated by The Pool Agency.

For a lively street party, head to Corn Street, St Stephens Street and Avenue Street, where Death Disco will be spinning live DJs and serving frozen margaritas. Dirty Martini will also be putting on DJ sets from 6pm.

Those looking for a more alternative vibe should check out St Nicholas Street, which will feature live bands and DJs at The Mother's Ruin, The Raven and Seamus O'Donnells.
