Glastonbury Symposium – 35 years of mysteries
In amongst the many fascinating events that take place in and around Glastonbury each year, for 35 years a fixture has been the annual Glastonbury Symposium ‘Expand Your Horizons’ event, happening this year in the Town Hall between 25-27 July.
People from all around the world come to gather at the Symposium each summer for this sometimes life-changing three-day event to hear the very best speakers on the paranormal, mysteries, spirituality, well-being and all points in-between. There are also musical performances, and appearances by the renowned Avalonian Free State Choir [pictured] are a much-loved part of the weekend.
Amongst its organisers, Diana Forrester-Brown is a familiar face around Bridgewater and Glastonbury and a member of the vivacious Dragon Drummers troupe, while Street-based Jason Porthouse is a big part of the area's spiritual communities. The main MC for the event is Andy Thomas, well-known author and lecturer on mysteries and cover-ups.
This year's Symposium has a vibrant array of speakers, including the internationally-respected spiritual leader Patricia Cori [the closing special Sunday evening guest – pictured] and top UFO researcher Gary Heseltine.

Full schedules and weekend and day tickets are all available on the Glastonbury Symposium website. Individual lecture tickets will be obtainable on the door, subject to availability. If people can't make it in person, the Symposium also has live-streaming options.
If nothing else, passers-by are encouraged to come in and look at the event's intriguing and eclectic upstairs stalls room, which is free to enter!
This year's Symposium is held 25-27 July at Glastonbury Town Hall, Magdalene Street, Glastonbury, BA6 9EL
